The electric cars are about going green, by avoiding usage of fossil fuel, reducing air and even sound pollution, so and so forth. However, since all these virtues come along with the tag of ‘boring’ car, Mahindra decided to spice things up with a really hot looking Sport version of the e2o electric.
In form, the e2o Sport is same as the standard variant. The main difference in terms of looks is the vibrant and sporty livery that this version gets.
There are a few additional updates to the e2o Sport, like the painted black alloy-wheels, red brake calipers and a really larger rear spoiler.
The changes are not purely cosmetic. Mahindra has updated the batteries and the drivetrain of this version, so that it performs much better than the standard version.
It can reach 60kmph mark from standstill in just four seconds and continues to reach 100kmph in eight seconds. The top-speed, as confirmed by officials, is over 120kmph.
And if you are thinking that, this will have an effect on the battery range, Mahindra says negative. The e2o Sport has a range of 200km on full charge.
To add to this, Mahindra has also showcased wireless charging with this model. It is in concept form though and will only reach production, if they get lot of positive response at the show.
