- TUV300 facelift expected in 2019
- KUV100 to get AMT gearbox
- Electric KUV100 might come along in 2019
Mahindra has decided to continue exploring new avenues with the TUV300 and the KUV100. The TUV300 was launched back in 2015 and three years down the line, the macho-SUV is due for an update which we expect will arrive in 2019.
Since it will be a mid-life update, expect a few nips and tucks to the bumpers, thus rendering them a little more aggressive. Also expect a few changes in the headlamps and the tail lamps besides some added features inside the cabin. The powertrain which comprises of the 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbodiesel will continue to power the TUV300 and will continue to get the manual as well as AMT gearbox options.
The KUV100 NXT, the current iteration of the KUV, is expected to get AMT gearbox options, owing to the popularity of automatics in the smaller segments. We hope Mahindra will offer AMT on both petrol and diesel engines. Also, earlier this year, Mahindra had showcased the electric KUV100 at the Auto Expo in Delhi and now the Indian car maker is thinking of adding a third model to their electric line-up along with the E20 Plus and the e-Verito.
