Mahindra has announced its support to the victims of the Nepal earthquake tragedy.
The company will provide tractors and pick up vehicles to the Nepal Government through their local distributor which would be used for the rehabilitation work. In addition, Mahindra will also provide the same assistance to the affected states and districts in India as well.
“At Mahindra our heart goes out to the victims of this unfortunate tragedy. The pain of Nepal is felt by each member of the Mahindra family. We do hope and pray that our humble support helps the earthquake victims in Nepal and in the affected parts of India to get back to normalcy at the earliest," said Anand Mahindra, chairman, Mahindra.
The 2015 Nepal earthquake occurred at 11:56 NST on 25 April with a magnitude of 7.8. Its epicenter was approximately 34 km east-southeast of Lamjung, Nepal and its hypocenter was at a depth of approximately 15 km. It is the most powerful disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake. We really appreciate Mahindra's effort to provide support to the people who have been affected by this natural disaster.
