Mahindra and Mahindra have now announced that it plans to increase vehicle prices by three per cent. The price hike will come in to effect in January 2018 and will affect all vehicles from its portfolio.
The variant-wise prices of Mahindra vehicles will go up in the new year. It isn't Mahindra alone who has planned to hike car prices. Many other manufacturers like Skoda, Tata Motors, Isuzu, Ford, Maruti Suzuki, Honda and Toyota have already announced their decision to increase prices from early next year.
There are many external factors like frequent fluctuations in input costs, commodity prices and even freight costs that are mainly responsible for the increment in car prices. Mahindra has still tried to cap this price hike to three per cent and reduce the impact on consumers by absorbing most of the incremental costs.
