The Mahindra Alturas G4 will be launched in India on 24 November and ahead of its arrival here is an official gallery of car. It was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as the Y400 SUV.
The Alturas G4 from Mahindra is their new flagship SUV and is essentially a fourth generation Ssangyong Rexton but with Mahindra badging on the inside and outside.
Exterior design highlights include projector head lamps with LED DRLs, 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and the signature Mahindra grille.
The higher spec 4WD version gets dual zone climate control, dual tone interiors with quilted Napa leather, power driver’s seat with memory function and a 7-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster.
In-car entertainment is provided by an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is also connected to a 360 degree camera set up for all around visibility.
The SUV will be offered in two variants, five colours and with a 2.2-litre diesel producing 187bhp/420Nm and mated to a seven-speed AT. The two variants are 2WD and 4WD.
This new flagship from the Indian automaker car will go on display on November 26 in a new premium section of the existing Mahindra showrooms created solely for retailing the Alturas G4.
It is Mahindra’s competitor for the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Honda CR-V. It will be locally assembled at their Chakan Plant.
