The designer of the utterly outrageous Lykan HyperSport, Anthony Jannarelly, has taken the wraps off his latest creation, the Jannarelly Design-1 roadster. Built in collaboration with Frederic Juillot, owner of carbon fibre parts producer Equation Composite, the car will be launched in Dubai in February 2016.
The pictures reveal a retro style roadster with proportionate overhangs, large wheels and a two-seater configuration. Noticeable styling elements include the crash hoops, giant red stripe across the middle and a massive underbody aero package both in the front and rear.
The cabin is a two-seater affair with a black dashboard and beige leather trim. Though it looks bare in the pictures, we expect a touchscreen infotainment system and climate control system as a part of the standard equipment.
It will be powered by a rear mid-mounted V6 mill which should be in the range of 2.8-litres to 3.5-litres making it quite a potent little vehicle. Body construction will comprise fibre glass, carbon fibre, aluminium built over a tubular steel frame.
The designers in their press release have said the vehicle is all about automotive emotions, self-expression and creativity. This means the car is expected to have some kind of limited production run with each model being designed to the tastes and choices of the individual owners.
Given how successful the Lykan Hypersport and Fenyr Supersport have been, we expect this car to achieve no less.
