Lucid Motors (formerly known as Atieva) is yet another electric car start-up based out of California. The carmaker revealed their first product, an all-electric Air sedan, last December. Now just after a year of existence and development of the Air, the electric carmaker is moving to a bigger facility.
The carmaker will shift from the Menlo Park headquarters situated in the San Francisco Bay Area of California to the Pacific Research Center in Montgomery, California. The new facility is located just east of the Dumbarton Bridge in Newark, California and is twice the size of their previous location. It is also just a few blocks from Lucid’s prototype shop, where the Lucid Air was first revealed at a private event in December 2016.
The new headquarters will accommodate a larger design studio, more lab space, and more office space, boasts the carmaker. This will help Lucid in the final preparation of the Air as it gets ready to hit the production line in the coming year. The new facility will also help in the development of future products, asserts the new-found carmaker.
