Lotus has expanded the Evora range with the Evora GT430 Sport. It is nowthe fastest ever road-going Lotus with atop speed of 315kmph. The GT430 Sport drops some of the aerodynamic kit from the standard GT430 bringing the power-to-weight ratio to an impressive 345bhp-per-tonne.
Without the aerodynamic elements, the Evora GT430 Sport weighs 10 kilograms lesser than the standard sibling. It tips the scale at a mere 1248 kilograms. The power comes from the same 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine breathing out 428bhp and 440Nm. The coupe is now available with both manual and automatic transmission. The automatic variant gets a boost of 10Nm, accelerating the car from 0-100kmph in amere 3.6 seconds.
The Evora GT430 Sport can generate up to 100 kilograms of downforce at its top speed of 350kmph (56 per cent more than the Evora Sport 410). The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres with 245/35 R19 at the front and 295/30 R20 at the rear.
