Tata is launching the Bolt hatchback in India today and we at CarWale are bringing you all the live updates from the launch venue. The premium hatchback from Tata Motors will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 with the new turbocharged Revotron petrol engine. The diesel variants will continue to derive power from Fiat’s 1.3-litre Multijet engine.

11:46am : He begins talking about the design, which he says is a manifestation of the youthful and sporty DNA desired by the customer. On the front of the car, he has described it having an aggressive, planted stance. and gets first in the segment projector headlamps that merge into the signature Tata grille,
11:47 am: Lot of aggressive features at the front to differentiate it from rest of the Tata cars.
11:48am: The car also gets blacked-out C-pillar to create a floating roof effect.
11:58am: The interiors gets sporty Java Black finish.
11:59am: Tata motors has high hopes from the turbocharged Revotron engine.
12:01pm: Safety features: The Bolt gets dual airbags and passenger side airbags and with the ninth generation ABS system from Bosch, it meets the current safety regulations in the country.
12:02pm: The 1.2-litre petrol engine gets more attention in the presentation that the 1.3-litre diesel engine.

12:09pm: SD card driven video playback and comes with smart voice recognition which has been appreciated in the Zest and the Bolt has an 8-speaker audio experience.
