Toyota’s premium wing, Lexus, will officially unveil the UX crossover at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show on 6 March 2018. The company had last showcased the concept version of the vehicle at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Aimed at the younger lot of buyers, the upcoming UX crossover will compete against the likes of the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Technical details for the vehicle are not known for now, however, the company has trademarked the UX 200, UX 250, and UX 250h monikers in the United States. Reports, indicate that the vehicle might be offered with four-cylinder engines and a hybrid option. The concept measured 173 inches in length, 75 inches wide, and 60 inches tall with a wheelbase that spanned 104 inches. Expected to be launched in 2019, the upcoming model is expected to generate a positive response in the US as the company accumulates about 60 per cent sales from the crossover and SUV segment.
Lexus will also showcase the RX L for the European market. The seven-seater SUV with three row seating layout has a coupe-like profile. The vehicle gets a flexible seating arrangement that allows for excellent load-carrying flexibility. The upcoming vehicle offers more space for occupants with an extension of 110mm in length over the regular RX model.
Additionally, the company will also showcase the LF-1 Limitless concept which was last showcased at the Detroit Motor Show. Moreover, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Lexus F, the company will feature the Special Edition RC F coupe and the RC F SPORT Black Edition.
