Lexus India has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of the LX570 flagship in India. Priced at Rs 2.32 crore, the LX570 is the fully-blown petrol powered variant and joins the LX450 diesel in the country.
Powering the LX570 is Toyota’s famous 5.7-litre V8 producing 383bhp of max power and 546Nm of peak torque. Almost 90 per cent of all the turning force is accessible from as low as 2,200rpm. Transmission is an eight-speed automatic. The SUV comes with Multi-terrain Select off-road hardware as well that boasts of a go-anywhere capability. The five-speed Crawl Control comes as standard, but it can adjust the torque and brake on each wheel independently reducing driver’s input on tricky off-road situations.
Appearance wise, it has an unmistakable and imposing Spindle grille up front flanked by sleek L-shaped LED headlamps. The cabin is as opulent as one might expect from a flagship SUV. This includes a semi-aniline leather upholstery and a Shimamoku trim on the steering wheel. The music system is a 19-speaker Mark Levinson system with a high-definition 11.6-inch LCD display for the rear seats. The four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and 12.3-inch infotainment screen is available as well. The 2018 LX 570 also introduces third-row seating which can transform easily to additional cargo space if needed.

The LX570 is priced identical to the 470d oil burner. In India, it comes as an expensive alternative to other premium SUVs like Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, and Range Rover Sports.
