Lexus has dropped a teaser for an upcoming concept called the LF-1 Limitless. The LF-1 concept will give a glimpse into the next genre of luxury crossover vehicles from the Japanese carmaker.Â
The LF-1 concept is created by CALTY design studio in Southern California. The same design studio gave us the stunning FT-1 Concept. The new LF-1 concept will culminate in a flagship crossover, according to the Nagoya-based carmaker. We suspect it to be the SUV-Coupe version of the current flagship LX SUV.Â
In the teaser image, the crossover concept is shown flaunting its sloping D-pillar. The sweeping LED tail lights, that runs across the back is complemented by the sleek LED strips mounted on the roof spoiler. The Lexus badge is illuminated in blue, which suggests that the concept will have a hybrid/electric powertrain. When the LF-1 Concept makes it into production sometime next year, the crossover will join Lexus’ long range of high-riding vehicles which includes NX, RX, GX and LX. The LF-1 production vehicle will come as a direct competition to the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
The Lexus LF-1 Limitless will be revealed at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit which opens its gates on 14 January.
