- Offered in a single trim only; CBU import
- Gets a 215bhp hybrid engine with a 2.5-litre petrol engine
Lexus has launched their newest global sedan, the ES300h for a price tag of Rs 59.13 lakhs, ex-showroom, India. The executive luxury sedan was introduced in the global market just a few months ago and has now directly made its way to the Indian shores. Brought in as a CBU, the ES continues to be a hybrid car built on the new-generation GA-K platform.
The ES 300h features a new fourth-generation Hybrid Drive system which is Euro VI compliant. The new hybrid electric system coupled with the four-cylinder petrol engine, delivers improved linear acceleration, a combined 215bhp of total power, and a mileage of 22.37kmpl. In terms of safety, the ES 300h is offered with a class leading 10 airbags, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, and Anti-theft system, with break-in and tilt sensors.
The cockpit features a seven-inch LCD instrument panel with a large analog tachometer, digital speedometer and an easy-to-read multi-information display, in addition to a fully adjustable color heads-up display that projects relevant vehicle information onto the windshield. The navigation system on the 12.3 inch Electro Multi Vision (EMV) full-size display and the wireless charger along with an electric sunroof are offered as standard.
What’s more, its striking looks are bound to make a statement. The large spindle grille with chrome surrounds, the sharp LED headlamps and the long hood make for a striking fascia while the sloping roofline and the long wheelbase add flair to the design. The Lexus ES competes against the likes of the BMW 5 Series, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Audi A6 and the Jaguar XF along with the Volvo S90.
