Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia had expressed its intention of getting the latest C-Class Coupe to showrooms soon. Going by the number of cars gathered outside a local dealership, it sure looks like buyers are going to get behind the wheel sometime soon.
Power to the wheels will be generated by the 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine and the 7G-Tronic transmission. This motor will be tuned to make 184bhp and 300Nm of torque in the C200 Coupe, and 245bhp and 370Nm in the C300 Coupe. 0-100kmph will be accomplished in 7.3sec in the C200 Coupe, while the C300 Coupe will get the same job done in 6sec.
All the cars seem to be fitted with the AMG Line package that feature a diamond radiator grille that’s adorned with sportier bumpers and side skirts. Looking at the differing alloy designs which are fitted on the cars, we can tell two of the variants that will be offered here, the C200 Coupe and C300 Coupe. The base C200 Coupe will get 18-inch five-spoke AMG design alloys like those on the C250 AMG Line saloon and the C300 AMG saloon’s 19-inch multi-spoke wheels are seen on the C300 Coupe. Full LED Intelligent light system headlamps are a part of the C300 Coupe package. While the interiors of the cars were not shot, we can presume the C200 Coupe could benefit from the C200 Avantgarde’s equipment list. And features on the C300 Coupe could be similar to the C300 AMG Line saloon.
Mercedes India has not revealed any information about getting the C-Class Coupe here yet.
