Land Rover has unveiled a new top-of-the line Range Rover SV Autobiography ahead of its official debut at the 2015 New York Motor Show. It has been created and conceived by the British SUV maker’s special vehicles division (hence the SV) and by the look of things is built on a made-to-order basis.
On the outside, the SVAutobiography gets a special Graphic Atlas polished chrome grille and special Range Rover lettering. The side profile remains the same while at the rear they have fitted a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Also in the offering is a dual-tone colouring scheme where the upper body is in black and the lower half can be had in nine different colours.
Majority of the changes have been made in the cabin where Land Rover has fitted aluminium pedals, special wood trim and aluminium switch gear. Passengers in the back, in addition to the existing world of luxury get a fridge, automatically deployable tables and special floor mats. The boot has been fitted with a special loading floor and what the company likes to term ‘event seats’ which are basically two Windsor leather chairs that can be mounted to the tailgate when folded down.
On the engine front, this version of the Range Rover is available with the SDV6 Hybrid, SDV8 mill as well as the latest version of the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that produces 548bhp and 608Nm of torque. All engines are offered with the ZF eight-speed AT.
