Land Rover has introduced two new special editions of their Discovery SUV for the European market. The new variants, called Discovery Landmark and Graphite, come with new exterior colours and some more updates.
The Discovery Landmark special edition is offered in five colours, namely - zanzibar, waitomo grey, santorini black, yulong white and indus silver. It gets new silver coloured roof rails but the fender vents, grille and mirror caps will be all black. The fascia sports adaptive xenon headlamps and automatic high beam assist, while other cosmetic enhancements include the Landmark badging on its side and rear. The car rides on 20-inch alloy wheels with a five-twin spoke pattern.
The cabin comes with windsor leather finished seats, while the dashbord, central console and door panels are adorned in special leather. The interior also boasts of a central console cooler box, heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seats.
The Discovery Graphite Edition sticks to its name as the car gets grey accents apart from the special edition Land Rover Discovery Graphite badging. The grille and 19-inch alloy wheels are painted in high gloss grey. The special edition badging can also be seen on the fender gills. This variant is available in nine different paint options.
These special editions are available only with Discovery's two engine options that include a 3.0 liter TDV6 or the 3.0-litre SDV6 SE. The former produces 210bhp of power, whereas the latter can churn out 255bhp of power.
Both the new variants will add a little spunk to the ageing Discovery that is due for a replacement. While the new Discovery will take some time for its arrival, these special editions will add to the appeal of the SUV. Bookings have started in Europe with prices starting from £55,995 (Rs 55.78 lakh), while deliveries are slated to begin in the start of next year.
