Land Rover recently filed an application to trademark the name ‘Landy’ indicating that the British SUV maker may introduce a set of vehicles below the Evoque. These models are expected to pick up the design from the DC100 concept and will share much of its underpinnings with the Evoque.
Roughly about a year ago, AutocarUK had published story detailing the various models that the British automaker would launch for the next six years and this included the DC100 thus making the possibility of compact crossovers from LR even more possible.
We expect that this range will be its set of urban crossovers while its other stalwarts like Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport will be aimed at a wider set of consumers due to their long history and the varied purposes they can be used for.
With an increasing demand for compact crossovers globally it seems to make sense for the big LR to make its way into this segment with a range of smaller vehicles.
