Land Rover recently launched a long wheelbase version of the Range Rover and with it introduced a new top -of- the-line trim called Autobiography Black. By the looks of the feature list, it makes an already luxurious and capable SUV even more luxurious and to top it all, the company said that this trim line would be exclusively available on the LWB Range Rover. Now, however, Autocar UK reports that this trim line may be offered on its other models in the future in a bid to woo more customers.
While not officially stating that such a step would be taken, Finbar mcFall, Land Rover Product chief, said that they would consider the option of producing the Autobiography Black trimmed variants of the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport as their (Land Rover) customers are always looking for new luxury options.
Given that the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are both luxury vehicles in India, we expect that Land Rover will want to cash in on the image and introduce the Autobiography Black trim level for the Indian market. Consequently, we can expect that as and when they introduce the trim for other models, India will get them a few months later.
