Land Rover Discovery Sport to be launched in India on September 2

Jaguar Land Rover will launch the new Discovery Sport in India on September 2 this year. Bookings for this premium SUV have already begun.

The Discovery Sport is underpinned by a lighter platform and sports the company's latest design philosophy. The new SUV comes equipped with many segment leading features like the optional 5+2 versatile seating configuration, terrain response, park assist, and the nine-speed automatic transmission among other functions.

Its TD4 150PS engine produces 148bhp of power and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The more powerful TD4 180PS diesel mill churns out 178bhp of power and comes paired to the nine-speed automatic transmission.

Jaguar Land Rover began local production of the new Discovery Sport in India this year. Since the manufacturer will sell this SUV as a CKD product, we can expect a very competitive pricing for the same.
