Jaguar Land Rover India has announced the launch of the 2-litre diesel derivative of the 2019 Discovery in India. Priced from Rs 75.18 lakh ex-showroom, the diesel Discovery range is available in S, SE, HSE and HSE Luxury trim.
The new derivative is powered by a 2-litre Ingenium engine producing a power output of 237bhp and peak torque of 500Nm. This engine is the first Jaguar Land Rover power plant to feature series sequential turbo technology to deliver its additional thrust.
The 2-litre Discovery range offers quite a few premium features depending on the trim. You get electrically reclining seats, seat fold, four-zone climate control, powered third row seats, a panoramic sunroof, cabin air ionisation, 360-degree surround camera, adaptive cruise control and much more.
The Discovery is touted as both family car and a capable off-road vehicle. It features a best-in-class approach angle (34°), ramp angle (27.5°) and departure angle (30°), a water wading depth capability of 900mm and a 3,500kg towing capacity.
