Automobili Lamborghini has announced that their global sales have increased by 19 per cent in 2014 in comparison to their sales figures in 2013. They sold 2,530 units last year when they had delivered 2,121 cars in 2013.
The automaker achieved this sales milestone owing to the 130 dealers of the company across 48 countries. The manufacturer's biggest markets are the US and Greater China followed by the Middle East, UK, Japan and Germany. These regions added to the tremendous growth in sales for the carmaker. The three regions EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), America and Asia Pacific account for one third of global sales each.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., said, "In 2014, Lamborghini delivered a very satisfying performance, confirming again the strength of our brand, product and commercial strategy. We increased sales in all our major regions. Our biggest markets are the USA and Greater China. They are followed by the Middle East, UK, Japan and Germany which each registered significant growth in 2014."
The Italian manufacturer's annual sales are impressive considering the slow movement in the numbers of super sports cars sold globally. The manufacturer had sold 2,121 cars in 2013 as compared to 2,083 units sold in 2012. The company has repeated its stellar performance in 2014 with the significant boost in sales.
Lamborghini plans to open new dealerships in India to strengthen the brand’s presence and sales network. The manufacturer at present has three showrooms in India located in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. All these facilities provide personalised service through the India and Global servicing team to cater to the various demands and expectations of the Indian customers.
