- The Urus SE is a facelift for this Lamborghini SSUV
- It was globally unveiled in April this year
Lamborghini revealed the mid-life update of its super SUV, the Urus, in April this year. Called the Urus SE, it received a host of updates including changes to the exterior, interior, mechanicals, and the powertrain.
The House of the Raging Bull has now confirmed that the Urus SE will be introduced in the Indian market on 9 August, 2024. In line with the update for all its models, the Urus range now gets hybrid power. The transition to hybrids began with the Revuelto, and is now carried over to the Urus, and will be followed later by the successor to the Huracan.
The Lamborghini Urus SE sources power from a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine coupled with a 25.9kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor. The petrol engine develops 620bhp and 800Nm, while the electric motor alone generates 189bhp and 483Nm of torque. The latter allows the car to run up to speeds of 130kmph and an electric-only range of 60km. The combined output, meanwhile, is rated at 800bhp and 950Nm, and the power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed gearbox.
In the mechanicals department, the new Urus SE boasts an electronic rear differential, recalibrated drive modes, electric torque vectoring system, 15 per cent more aerodynamic efficiency and 35 per cent higher downforce compared to the outgoing version, and an air suspension setup as standard.
On the design front, the 2024 Lamborghini Urus SE features a set of matrix LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs that take inspiration from the tail of a raging bull, bonnet that extends to the nose of the car, new spoiler, and Y-shaped taillights and diffuser inspired by the Gallardo.
The interior of the upcoming Urus SE comes equipped with as many as 10 drive modes, new 12.3-inch touchscreen unit with the latest HMI interface, 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and a set of new AC vents. As always, there will be an endless range of customisations via the brand’s Ad Personam division.
