Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has taken the covers off a new special edition version of its flagship production model – the Aventador. Called the Aventador Pirelli edition, this new version marks the arrival of a limited series model.
Lamborghini has made this new series to celebrate its collaboration with, you guessed it, Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli. The partnership, in fact, began back in 1963 and since then, with the tyre manufacturer began back in 1963 and ever since then all of Lamborghini’s models have been equipped with Pirelli tires.
Available for sale globally, the Aventador Pirelli edition can be had in both coupe and roadster form. The exterior sports a two-tone colour scheme in two options. The first is matte black for the roof, the pillars, the rear-view mirrors, the engine hood, and the air intakes, in contrast with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body. The second option is glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior.
New colour schemes aside, this special edition model maintains all of the Aventador’s technical highlights including the carbon fibre monocoque chassis, the 700bhp V12 engine, pushrod suspension and the permanent all-wheel drive system.
