Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini has trademarked the name 'Deimos', who is part of the Greek pantheon. He is the son of Ares and Aphrodite - the God of war and the Goddess of love and beauty. Deimos is the personfication of terror. That certainly isn't the way we would describe how Lamborghinis look, although it would be a more apt description of how pre-VW Lambos drove.
The Shanghai Auto Show is just weeks away, and this suggests that a new Lambo will be present there. Whether it is the upcoming SUV or a new concept is anyone's guess. There is also no obvious relation between the name 'Deimos' and bullfighting, which has traditionally supplied the inspiration for the names that have been made famous by the raging bull badge.
Either way, we cannot wait to see what Lamborghini has in store for all of us at Shanghai, even if it is a prospect as terrifying as Deimos.
