Lamborghini has announced that it will put the extremely futuristic and incredible Sesto Elemento (Sixth element) concept car into a limited production run of 20 examples. Unveiled at 2010 Paris Auto Show, the Sesto Elemento looks like a cross between a Gallardo and an F-117 stealth fighter.
On the outside, the car is recognizably a Lambo but with even more many wedges, creases and specific lines that it redefines the concept of cutting through the air. The futuristic interiors of each of the 20 cars will be remain the same as the concept vehicle but the seats will be tailor made as per the requirements of each owner.
The mill is the same 5.2-litre V10 that sits in the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera building 562bhp and 539Nm of torque. But with the car weighing less than a ton, it manages to reach 100kph from a naught in mind numbing 2.5 seconds. Lamborghini has also said that the car will not be road legal as it wants to stay as close as possible to the concept car, which has many components that are not suitable on the road.
This combination of low weight and high power will make the Sesto Elemento quite a race track screamer. Lamborghini has said that the production version’s structural stiffness will be increased as well as the overall safety. The 20 examples when built will most likely be sold to existing Lambo owners for a price of around 2.6 million Euros (Rs 14.43 Crore).
