Lamborghini India is bringing the drop top version of their newest raging bull, the Huracan Spyder, to India tomorrow. The two-seater supercar was showcased at the New York in March and the India launch comes close on the heels of the American debut.
The Huracan Spyder LP 610-4 gets a soft top that is hydraulically operated and can be lowered in 17 seconds with the car doing a maximum speed of up to 50kmph. To improve aerodynamics with the top down, two fins rise from behind the seats to regulate airflow in the cabin and improve airflow to the engine compartment. The edgy looks of the Huracan remind you of the yesteryear Lamborghinis but are not as extravagant.
This Huracan convertible is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that churns 602bhp of power at 8250rpm and 560Nm of torque. Mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, power is sent to all four wheels. Owing to the strengthening required for chopping the top off, the added weight takes just 0.2 seconds off the 3.4 seconds taken by the Huracan for the zero to 100kmph dash.
While there are hardly any roads to take it to its top whack of 324kmph, the Huracan would certainly make all heads turn. We expect the price tag to be slightly higher than the coupe, upwards of Rs 3.5 crore (ex-showroom, India).
