- New Lamborghini model could be based on the Terzo Millennio concept
- The model could be powered by a hybrid powertrain including a V12 engine with electric motors
Just last week, Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster at the Monterey Car Week. Now, the Sant’Agata Bolognese based sports car maker has teased another model ahead of its debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The teaser image shared on Lamborghini’s social media channels reveals what seems to be the LED DRLs of the upcoming model, details of which are scarce at the moment. The Italian marquee has shared the teaser image with the caption “Something new is on the way. The only way to see it is to open your eyes to the future.”
The design of the LED DRLs, as well as the front silhouette of the car, are similar to that of the Terzo Millennio concept that was showcased by Lamborghini back in November 2017. When compared with the Terzo Millennio, the model seen in the teaser image shares similar features such as the height and the front fenders.
A few reports suggested that potential customers have already been treated to a showcase of the car, which has been codenamed as the LB48H. It is also believed that this model could be powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a V12 engine with electric motors. Lamborghini may also unveil this new product as a limited edition model. The finer details will be revealed during the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
