Lamborghini has achieved a milestone of rolling off its 8000th Huracan off the assembly line in Sant'Agata Bolognese. Since its introduction back in 2014, the Baby Lambo took just three years to accomplish the production landmark when the Grigio Lynx-coloured Spyder destined for the UK market was lowered on its wheels.
With 8,000 units on the road already, the Huracan has surpassed the halfway number of its predecessor, the Gallardo. The Gallardo wrapped up its tenure with 14,022 units leaving the Sant’Agata facility making it the highest selling Raging Bull till date. The Huracan even outsold the flagship Aventador which celebrated 5,000th unit last year.
The Huracan is currently available in four variants, apart from the mad ‘Ring conqueror – the Performante. One can opt forthe Baby Lambo in coupe or spyder body style. Mechanically, your options includethe all-wheel-drive or the tail-happy rear-wheel drive variant in both hardtop and open-air body style. At the heart of the Huracan sits a 5.2-litre V10 punching out 510, 610 or 630bhp depending onwhich car you are looking at. The Performante which broke the Green Hell record also boasts of many avant-garde Italian technology featuresas well. And what’s more, a drop-top Performante is on its way as well, as seen in our spy shots.
The 8000th milestone is just a stepping stone and the Sant'Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer must hope to see the numbergrowten-fold in the years to come.
