Lamborghini has launched an India limited edition Gallardo LP550-2 for Rs 3.06 crore (ex-showroom Maharashtra). The car has been limited to just six examples for the Indian market and has been launched as a part of the Raging Bull’s 50th anniversary celebrations. It joins other limited models of the Gallardo like the Singapore and Indonesia Limited Editions that were unveiled as a part of Lamborghini’s golden jubilee celebrations.
The India limited edition Gallardo is available in three shades; pearl orange (Arancio Borealis), white (Bianco Monocerus) and pearl green (Verde Ithaca); the colours of the Indian national flag. Continuing the theme of stripes on all its limited-edition Gallardos, the Italian supercar maker has also given all six cars tricolour stripes running the length of the vehicle.Extending on the tricolour theme, the interiors are predominantly black but have green stitching on the driver’s seat, orange for the passenger and white for the dashboard, centre console as well as the doors.
The India limited edition Gallardo is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 that produces 540PS and 540Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels (yes it’s a RWD Gallardo!) via a six-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. It can do 0-100kmph in 3.9 seconds and will go on to hit a top speed of 320kmph.
Commenting on the launch of the India limited edition Gallardo, Pavan Shetty, head of operations, said “On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of celebrations of Automobili Lamborghini, the India limited edition Gallardo LP550-2 is our tribute to the strong relations we share and continue to enjoy with India.”
