The Lamborghini Aventador S will be launched for the Indian market on March 3. The 'S' model comes as a comprehensive mid-life cycle update to the Aventador.
The S suffix means the car gets an even more aggressive design, better driving dynamics and more importantly extra power. Though it's the same 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 mill from the predecessor, the Sant’Agata based brand has managed to make it churn out 39bhp more. The engine is now rated at 740bhp and 690Nm of torque by optimising the Variable Valve Timing and Variable Intake System. The redline has also been increased from 8,350 to 8,500rpm. The powerplant comes mated to a seven-speed transmission with power sent to all four wheels. While the car can reach a top speed of 350kmph, it sprints from 0-100kmph in a mind-boggling 2.9 seconds.
There are also a number of features that the car boasts of in terms of exterior enhancements as against the regular car. This includes a more aggressive front, a longer front splitter and a black diffuser at the other end. The latter can be had in carbon fibre upon request.
The Aventador S beautifully integrates some elements of past icons like the original Countach and will surely enthral many enthusiasts and fans in India when introduced. It will be Lamborghini's new flagship car in when the carmaker officially launches it in the coming month. This is when the automaker will also announce prices of the super sports car.
