Starting off 2013 on a high note with the launch of the Aventador Roadster, Lamborghini has recorded a sales double-digit growth for the 2013 as compared to 2012. Having sold 22 units as compared to 17 in 2012, the Italian manufacturer has reported a growth of 29 per cent in the country.
Mr. Pavan Shetty, Head Lamborghini India said, “In India, Lamborghini owners love the brand for its unique values of being extreme, uncompromising and unmistakably Italian. They understand the brand and the experience that Lamborghini ensures on purchasing the iconic super sports car.”
Despite the industry facing an overall negative growth, Lamborghini has managed to maintain a positive rhythm with a portfolio comprising of just supercars. 2013 also saw the expansion of Lamborghini’s network presence as it officially unveiled its new dealership in New Delhi. It also introduced ‘Collezione Automobili Lamborghini’- an exclusive range of its branded merchandise in India and India-specific limited editions of the Gallardo, the India SerieSpeciale, last year.
Lamborghini is a manufacturer whichprefers entering a new market through its dealerships who also act as its front faces. Currently, the Bologna-based supercar maker has two dealerships in India, one in Mumbai and one in Delhi and has plans to set up another one in South India. It has managed to sell 90 cars since it entered the Indian market in 2006.
