- To be powered by a twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor
- Third hybrid after the Revuelto and Urus SE
Lamborghini has confirmed the debut date of the successor to the Huracan sports car. The company will take the veil off the third hybrid in its range later this week, on 16 August, with an India launch expected later this year.
Likely to be called the Temerario, the model will ditch the famed NA V10 engine and get a completely new twin-turbo V8 engine with hybrid assistance. This 4.0-litre unit will be tuned to develop 789bhp and 730Nm of torque. Notably, this engine will have a redline of 10,000rpm. Three electric motors will arrive in tow, producing a combined output of 149 bhp and 300Nm. The eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will be lifted straight off the Revuelto flagship V12 hybrid.
On the design front, the new Lamborghini supercar will boast sleeker headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, hexagon-shaped LED DRLs positioned on the lower end of the bumper, new alloy wheels, and wide hexagon-shaped LED taillights. The posterior will have an aggressive diffuser and a centrally mounted single exhaust pipe, which also gets a Hexagon-shaped design.
