Lamborghini India will introduce the newest iteration of the Huracan in India tomorrow. The rear-wheel drive Huracan Spyder was revealed internationally at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show and is making its way to India just a month after it went on sale in Europe. When launched tomorrow, the RWD Huracan Spyder will complete the Huracan family in India.
The Huracan RWD Spyder is one of the four variants that make up the baby Lambo line-up. The rear-wheel drive Huracan Spyder has a redesigned front and rear with larger front air intakes and aggressive touches to distinguish it from the four-wheel drive version. Power comes from the same 5.2-litre mid-mounted V10 which belts out 580bhp at 8000rpm and 540Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The acceleration from 0-100kmph takes of 3.6seconds (which actually makes it ‘slower’ than its three siblings by 0.2 seconds!). It has a top speed of 320 kmph. The Pirelli PZero tyres which are wrapped around 19-inch Kari wheels have been specially designed for this car. Being a Spyder, it is marginally heavier at 1,509 kg with a weight distribution of 40/60. The soft-top roof can be operated in just 17seconds at speeds of up to 50kmph. The car comes with all the driving aids and electronic gizmos the Italian manufacturer has to offer.
Lamborghini is expected to price the Huracan RWD Spyder somewhere around Rs 3.80 crore. Stay tuned to CarWale as we bring all the details from the launch in Mumbai.
