Lamborghini has introduced the special edition of the Huracan supercar, the Huracan Avio in India. Priced at Rs 3.71 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), only 250 units of the aviation inspired Lamborghini will be built across the globe making it one of the rare Lamborghinis to be offered to Indian customers.
Lamborghini’s love for fighter jets and aircrafts has been evident over the years with the most famous being the Lamborghini Reventon. The Huracan Avio also gets its inspiration from the fighter jets and is evident in the cutting edge looks of the car. The Avio gets special touches in white or grey offset stripes across the hood. The lower half of the wing mirrors and the side skirts also get the highlights making the car look sportier. There is an L63 badge on the driver-side door reminding us of the year 1963 when Lamborghini started making supercars. The badge is also embroidered on the seatbacks adding a custom touch to the Huracan Avio. The entire cabin has been trimmed out in black alcantara and has features like a touchscreen system and climate control.
Under the hood, it is the same 5204cc naturally aspirated four valves per cylinder V10 engine belting out 602bhp of power and 560Nm of torque that ensures a racket every time you step on the throttle. The power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic gearbox that powers the car past 100kmph, from standstill, in 3.2 seconds to a top whack of over 300kmph.
