Italian marquee Lamborghini has unveiled the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster at the 2019 edition of the Monterey Car Week in USA. Just like the SVJ 63 coupe, only 62 units of the Roadster will be produced, commemorating the company’s founding year of 1963.
The car shown at the concept lawn in Pebble Beach is finished in matte grey Grigio Acheso, set off by carbon fiber exterior elements. Details in orange Arancio Dac include SVJ and ‘63’ logos, with the matte titanium rims featuring an Arancio central locking plate. Inside, tri-tone Alcantara upholstery in Grigio Octans (grey), Grigio Cronus (grey) and Arancio Dryope (orange) is combined with carbon fiber and CarbonSkin. The carbon fiber sports seats are finished with white Q-Citura cross stitching while a ‘63’ logo sits behind the seats in carbon fiber and lasered Alcantara.
Coming to the model, each of the eight unique combinations under the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster comprises of an exterior and interior unique to the Roadster version of the SVJ 63. The exterior styling is specifically developed for the Roadster model, with a matte or shiny carbon fiber upper part that includes roof, engine cover, engine air vents, windscreen rim and wing mirrors. A new matt titanium finish features on the Leirion forged rims and the car carries the SVJ 63 livery, as well as a ‘1 of 63’ numbered plaque.
Inside, the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster is offered in three color schemes in Alcantara, featuring carbon fiber elements throughout the cockpit and further complemented by the brand’s CarbonSkin. A badge on the steering wheel endorses the car as one of a limited edition, as does a ‘63’ logo on the rear wall in Alcantara and CarbonSkin.
Propelling the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster is a 6.5-litre, naturally aspirated V12 engine producing a massive 770bhp and at 8,500 rpm and 720Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. These figures help the model attains speeds of 0-100 kmph in a mere 2.9 seconds, while the 200 kmph mark comes up in just 8.8 seconds. The top speed of the model is rated north of 350 kmph and is complemented by a braking distance of 100 kmph to a standstill in 31 meters. All units of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster have been sold, with deliveries slated to begin next year.
