So here we have the latest from the Lamborghini Aventador family, the Aventador S which has been launched in the country at Rs 5.01 crore (All India ex-showroom). Lamborghini’s have always held that unique charm and a distinctive exhaust note, which can be found in the new Aventador S as well.
Along with improved aerodynamics, the new model also produces an additional 41bhp over its predecessor. The hypercar continues to be built around carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, however this time, it gets a revised pushrod and suspension setting for a quicker response.
The new Lamborghini Aventador S is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that generates 730bhp of power. The powerful engine comes mated to a seven-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox. The vehicle claims to reach a top speed of 349kmph and does a 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The Aventador S gets three drive modes Strada (street driving), Sport and Corsa (race performance). Moreover, it gets a four-wheel-steering system wherein the front axle gets the company’s dynamic steering setup while the rear gets two separate actuators with five-millisecond-quick adjustments that respond as per the driver’s steering input.
In terms of design, the Aventador S from Lamborghini gets a redesigned front that claims to generate an additional 130 per cent downforce on its nose, while the rear features three position wing which increases downforce up to 50 per cent. The automaker claims that the vehicle also offers the best handling even under the most slippery conditions by reducing the drag by 400 per cent. Speaking about the interior, the hypercar flaunts new TFT display (with new graphics) with Apple CarPlay and an option to add the telemetry system.
