Kia Motors India will make its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo in New Delhi with a new concept car. The brand, in fact, will unveil the SP concept on 7 February, alongside 16 of their global models.
Kia says the SP concept is inspired by the Indian heritage and that the creation hints at the company’s plans to introduce a new SUV to the Indian market in the future. Alongside the global debut of the SP concept, Kia will showcase its global range of cars including electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. The line-up will also include the new Stinger sports sedan.
The South Korean brand has already announced a factory in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. The construction for the factory is under consideration to commence in the first quarter of 2018. It is expected to begin production in the second half of 2019 and produce approximately 300,000 units per year.
