The Frankfurt International Auto Show is one of the biggest showcase platforms in Europe for carmakers. Kia has teased the sketch of an all-new concept shooting brake (in layman’s terms, that’s a sporty estate) that will debut at Frankfurt in the second week of September.
It is being speculated that this concept car might give us an inkling of how the new generation Cee’d, Kia’s premium hatchback, would look like. Kia has gone all guns blazing with this unnamed concept and seems to have taken inspiration from the Mercedes AMG GT4 and Bertone’s idea of the Aston Martin Rapide fastback. While there is no picture of the fascia, the profile, especially with its seamless window panes running across the length looks raucous.
Kia has said that this ‘extended hot hatch styling’ puts forward a ‘bold vision for a potential member of the next-generation Cee’d family’. This means that there might be an estate version of the Cee’d in the making, as Europe is a good market for practical estates.
