-The all-electric Concept previews a sports car of the future.
-Designed to make the heart beat a bit faster, says Gregory Guillaume
Kia has confirmed a very radical looking all electric concept car for next month’s Geneva Motor Show. This unnamed concept signposts Kia’s emotional approach to electrification, says the Korean carmaker.
The sporty silhouette in the teaser previews flared wheel arches, low ride height and a very futuristic face. Whether the concept previews a proper electric sports car of the future, or a very funky looking electric crossover remains uncertain. But the new iteration of Kia's Tiger Nose grille looks very contemporary while illuminated in the teaser.
Designed at Kia’s European design centre in Frankfurt, this concept is “a visual embodiment of the company’s desire to move forward in the exciting world of electrification”, says Kia. According to Gregory Guillaume, vice president of design for Kia Motors Europe, automotive design is about making the heartbeat faster and there is no reason why it should change simply because the car is electric.
Kia will take the covers off the all-new electric concept on 5 March. And if the previous concepts from the Korean carmaker are anything to go by, the new concept will also be drop-dead gorgeous.
