The new Kia Syros is based on the brand's reinforced K1 platform. The SUV gets a boxy design with vertically stacked LED headlamps and L-shaped LED taillights.
It has thick B-pillars, roof rails, and retractable door handles, which are some notable design elements. Besides, the flared wheel arches house a set of two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin boasts a modern yet simple dashboard design with horizontal air-con vents and a new flat-bottom steering wheel.
The Syros also gets a 30-inch dual-screen layout housing a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Kia promises space comparable to SUVs from a higher segment with the Syros. The car even gets sliding and reclining rear seats and segment-first ventilated front and rear seats.
Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging, rear AC vents, and a rear sunshade among many different features.
Its infotainment system is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It even gets connected car features with remote window ventilation.
On the safety front, the Syros is equipped with an array of safety features, including a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ESC, hill-start, all-disc brakes, and Level 2 ADAS.
Powertrain
In India, the petrol Kia Syros will only be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It will come mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. On the other hand, there will also be a 1.5-litre diesel unit mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.
