The production ready Kia SP2i SUV will have its global unveil in Delhi on 20 June. The final name (likely to be named the Tusker or the Trailster) of the car as well as the launch date will both be revealed during the event. Kia made its Indian debut with the SP concept at the 2018 Auto Expo last February.
In terms of design, the upcoming vehicle will get a tiger-nose grille and sharply designed LED lights. Additionally, the vehicle will get a contrast roof, sporty D-pillar, chunkier chrome bar and prominent roof rails. As for features, the SUV will get a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the upcoming Kia SP2i will also get a fully digital instrument cluster, head-up display and an ambient light package.Â
The SP2i signature is expected to be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options. A six-speed manual is expected to be standard while a DCT is likely to be offered for the petrol also. When launched, the SP2i will be a rival for the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster and the Honda BR-V.Â
