- Variants with a sunroof register 79 per cent sales
- Updated version recently surpassed the 1 lakh unit sales milestone
Kia India recently announced that the new Sonet, launched earlier this year, has achieved the 1 lakh unit sales milestone. Launched in January, the model is currently priced from Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Celebrating the aforesaid milestone, the brand has now revealed key stats of its sub-four-metre SUV.
According to Kia, the petrol-powered variants of the Sonet account for a massive share of the sales pie, standing at 76 per cent. On the other hand, the diesel variants are trailing at 24 per cent. Similarly, 34 per cent of its sales numbers come from the automatic and iMT versions with respect to the transmission department.
Another interesting fact is that the Sonet equipped with a sunroof accounts for an impressive 79 per cent of its sales numbers. This can be attributed to the fact that the Nexon-rival gets a sunroof right from the HTE (O) variant, which is the second-most affordable offering in the range, priced from Rs. 8.32 lakh (ex-showroom). It is one of the 11 variants available in the line-up, which also includes 11 paint options.
