Kia India has rejigged the variants of its top-selling SUV duo, the Seltos and the Sonet. Both models benefit from a new variant and a new colour option. The Sonet SUV now gets a new GTX trim which is positioned between HTX+ and GTX+ at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 13.71 lakh.
The Sonet GTX has plenty of features such as a 360-degree surround camera with a blind spot monitor, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, air purifier, auto headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, LED fog lamps, and six airbags.
As for the colour option, the Sonet GTX can be had in seven paint schemes, namely Sparkling Silver, Pewter Olive, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, and Glacier White Pearl. Notably, the X-Line variant which was previously only available with Matte Graphite colour is now also offered with Aurora Black Pearl paint.
Mechanically, the Sonet GTX is equipped with two powertrain options – a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former is coupled with a seven-speed DCT gearbox and the latter is mated to a six-speed automatic torque converter unit.
