Kia’s first car for India, the Seltos will officially be unveiled tomorrow. At the time of launch, the vehicle will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Earlier known as the SP2i Concept, the feature-loaded SUV has been rechristened as the Seltos, derived from the Greek mythology legend Celtos. The upcoming Kia SUV is likely to be launched in the second half of 2019 and the company claims that the vehicle is aimed at new age and tech-savvy buyers.
The highlights of the Seltos SUV in terms of design is its sharp shoulder line, along with a long and squared-off hood that compliments the LED headlamps. As for the rear, the SUV features a chrome strip that runs across the tailgate and connects the taillights. The vehicle will get a plastic body cladding that runs from front to the wheel arches and goes all the way up to the rear bumper.
Although the engine option is yet to be announced, it is believed that the Kia Seltos will be powered by the newly developed 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engines that will be available across manual and automatic gearbox options. As for the interior, the Kia Seltos is expected to get a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, personalized ambient lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel, electronic parking brake, and passenger grab handle.
