Last week, variant-wise features of the Kia Seltos were leaked on the internet. Now, the official variants of the Seltos have been leaked via an internal product presentation slide. The leaked document also reveals official engine specifications and transmission options, and interestingly, the 1.4L turbo GDI petrol motor will also get a six-speed manual transmission.
Kia Seltos will be offered with two body styles – HT Line and GT Line. And the five trims – E, K, K+, X and X+, will be available across both the body styles. There will be a total of 16 variants on offer, across all the engine and gearbox combinations.
The 1.5L petrol/6MT will be available in four variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+ and HTX, while the petrol/CVT combo will be offered in a sole HTX variant. The 1.5L diesel manual will be available in all five trims, while the diesel automatic (torque converter) will come in HTK+ and HTX+ variants.
The Kia Seltos GT Line will only be offered with the 1.4L turbo GDI petrol engine, and it will get a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed DCT. The manual versions of the GT Line will be available in three variants - GTK, GTX and GTX+. The GT Line automatic can be had in the GTX variant.
The Kia Seltos is expected to be priced in the bracket of Rs 11-16 lakhs (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks and some variants of the Jeep Compass.
