The world debut of the Kia Seltos was done in India a couple of months ago, showing the carmaker's focus and how much our market holds importance for them. The SUV achieved 6,046 bookings on the first day of bookings itself, and it has now crossed 32,035 bookings in five weeks. Here are the pictures of the car from its official launch event in Mumbai.
Pricing of the Seltos' Tech Line variant is between Rs 9.69 lakhs to Rs 15.99 lakhs. On the other hand, the GT line trim costs between Rs 13.49 lakhs to Rs 15.99 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).
Kia had showcased the SP Concept for the first time ever at the Auto Expo 2018. It became the foundation for the Seltos, whose four pillars remain to be distinctive, powerful, wide and bold.
As a result, the Kia Seltos not only boasts of a stunning level of exterior design quality, but also of interior space.
Its interior highlight being a segment-first eight-inch head-up display, other notable features include a 360-degree camera, push-button start, wireless charging and in-car WiFi.
Apart from six airbags, the SUV is fitted with ABS, traction control, brake-assist, hill-start assist control, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.
There are three engine options - 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol. All of these engines are BS-VI emission norm compliant.
Apart from a standard six-speed manual, Kia is offering three automatic gearbox options – seven-speed DCT, IVT and a six-speed AT. This will give buyers more options to suit their needs.
Also, a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty will be offered with the Kia Seltos for free. It can be extended by up to two more years too.
The carmaker says that it has already produced over 5,000 units of the Seltos SUV in order to be able to meet the demand and have less waiting period.
Furthermore, this Kia Seltos SUV will soon have full support of over 192 service centres spread across 160 cities in India. The dealer network will expand too.
