Kia Seltos India launch details out

- Kia Seltos will be launched in August 2019.

Kia Seltos made its world premiere yesterday in India, and many of you wanted to know its pricing, specifications and of course, its launch date. Speaking about its launch details, our sources close to the company have confirmed that the Seltos will be launched in India in August 2019. The Seltos is likely to be priced between Rs 11-17 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The company will commence accepting bookings for Kia Seltos in July, before the SUV goes on sale in mid-August. The mid-size SUV features a butch stance with a proper two-box design. To know more about its design, here's a photo gallery of the Seltos.

Kia Seltos will rival against the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks and the entry variants of the Jeep Compass. The Seltos will pack 37 internet connectivity features via UVO Connect, which is similar to the Blue Link connectivity options on Hyundai Venue.

Interestingly, the platform that Kia Seltos is based on is the same one that will underpin the next-generation Hyundai Creta.
Moreover, it will also get the same engines as the Seltos. These include 1.5-litre NA petrol and turbo-diesel engines and a sportier 1.4-litre TGDI gasoline unit. While the latter will come with a seven-speed DCT, the 1.5-litre engines will get a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Higher variants will also get a CVT on the petrol unit and a six-speed torque converter automatic on the diesel motor.
