According to dealership sources, Kia Motors India has introduced two new top-spec GTX+ automatic variants of the Seltos with the 1.4L turbo-petrol (7-speed DCT) and 1.5L turbo-diesel (6-speed AT) engines. Kia dealerships have confirmed that both the models are priced at Rs 16.99 lakhs (ex-showroom India). At the launch, the Kia Seltos GTX+ trim was only available with the 1.4L T-GDi manual engine/gearbox transmission.
The new GTX+ automatic variants are priced at a premium of Rs 1 lakh over the GTX petrol DCT and the HTX+ diesel automatic, as both costs the same at Rs 15.99 lakhs (ex-showroom India). Compared to the GTX trim, the GTX+ variant gain features like ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, Bose sound system, leather upholstery and front parking sensors. Additionally, it also comes loaded with six airbags, an eight-inch head-up display, and rain-sensing wipers, which are missing in the HTX+ trim.
The Seltos is available in two body-styles, GT Line and Tech Line. Including the two new variants, the mid-size SUV is available in a total of 18 variants. Buyers can choose between three engines – two petrol’s and a diesel, and four transmission options. The range starts at Rs 9.69 lakhs for the base petrol manual variant and goes up to Rs 16.99 lakhs (ex-showroom India).
