- Registers 7,754-unit sales in September 2019
- Seltos has outsold the MG Hector
- Available in 18 variants across two body-styles
Kia Motors launched the Seltos in India in August 2019, and within the first month, it became the highest-selling mid-size SUV in India with a sales of 6,236 units. Now, the company has registered sales of 7,754 units for the Kia Seltos in September 2019.
While we await the sales figures of the Hyundai Creta, the Seltos has outsold the MG Hector, which garnered 2,608-unit sales in September 2019. What has worked for the Seltos is that it comes with BS-VI compliant engines, while others await the April 2020 deadline. We have driven the Kia Seltos, and were impressed with its performance and quality.
The Kia Seltos comes packed with a range of tech and comfort features, which includes a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, sunroof, BOSE music system and much more. It is available with three engines and four gearbox options, and there's an automatic option with every powertrain. Add to that, there are 18 variants to choose from across two body-styles - GT Line and Tech Line.
The Kia Seltos range starts at Rs 9.69 lakhs and goes up to Rs 16.99 lakhs (all prices are ex-showroom India). It competes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and the Renault Duster.
