Kia Seltos bookings likely to commence from next week

Kia Motors has released a video, which reveals that the bookings for the Seltos are set to commence soon. And now, we can confirm that an announcement is due next week. Ahead of its launch in India, variant-wise features of the Kia Seltos have been leaked. The mid-size SUV will reportedly be available in seven variants across three engines and four transmission options.

The Kia Seltos is scheduled to be launched in India on 22 August. The mid-size SUV will rival against the likes of Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks. The Seltos is expected to be priced in the bracket of Rs 11-17 lakhs (ex-showroom). Besides the quirky yet fresh styling, the party trick for the Seltos will be the internet connectivity features via the UVO Connect suite.

In addition to the 1.4-litre TGDI turbocharged petrol motor, the Kia Seltos will also get 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motors. The 1.4-litre TGDI motor will be offered with a seven-speed DCT, while the 1.5-litre engines will get a six-speed manual transmission as standard. Additionally, the petrol motor also gets a CVT, while the diesel mill will come with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
